Salma Hayek Get Animated For 'Kahlil Gibran's the Prophet' TIFF Premiere.
At the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Salma Hayek graced the red carpet for the premiere of Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet, an animated adaptation of the beloved 1923 book by Lebanese-American poet Kahlil Gibran.
Hayek, who produced and voiced a character in the film, wore a black sleeveless Christopher Kane python-embossed dress from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection.
She accessorized with a bright pink clutch and gold-tipped black pumps, adding a pop of color to her chic ensemble.
Directed by Roger Allers (The Lion King), the film intersperses Gibran’s poetic essays with stunning animated sequences by renowned filmmakers, telling the story of a young girl and an imprisoned poet.
Hayek described the project as a "love letter to my heritage," reflecting her deep personal connection to Gibran's work and her Lebanese ancestry.
The film's premiere at TIFF marked a significant milestone, showcasing a unique blend of animation and philosophy that resonated with audiences and critics alike.
